Blogging is one of the easiest and most productive ways of keeping your website "alive" in the eyes of the Search Engines.While Blogging became known originally as a tool for Social Networking geeks to tell the world that they had Cornies for breakfast and that it was raining in their home town, blogging is now a recognised Corporate communications tool.
The Blogging Module displays your Blog posts summarised and sorted by date of entry.
Each Blog Post can have:
- An H1 Title (used by Search Engines),
- An individual author,
- A unique "slug" (the blog post's unique name in the Browser URL),
- A time and date stamp (used for sorting),
- Tag words (used for topic searching), and
- Full HTML formatting.
Summary lists of the Blog Posts available for viewing can be placed anywhere within a web page, typically on the RHS in a vertical list. These lists can be set to display across the whole website (on every page), or on one page only, or a mixture of both.An RSS feed enables people to "plug in" to your Blog Posts and receive them into their RSS reader automatically and instantly, without you having to do a thing! The RSS can be set to distribute the full article contents, or simply the first paragraph with a link to view the whole article on your website.
You can have multiple Blogs on your website. For example you may have a Blog about business matters, as well as a Blog about personal subjects.
