Good design can really "make" a website.All Go Kiwi Internet websites are crisp, clean, tidy and modern out-of-the-box however with a little extra design effort, you can get a very professional looking website! Essentially with additional Design effort you are buying labour to make things look better, or sometimes exactly how you want them to look.
There are several design components to website enhancements:
- Graphics
- Macromedia Flash
- HTML and
- CSS
Macromedia Flash components are the moving iamges that you see nowadays. Animated GIFs are now "old-school" but tasteful use of images fading, moving, morphing or merging are a great way to enhance a website. See the FBM and FMV Modules for Macromedia Flash options.
HTML and CSS are programmed design features that mix graphics, and standard font, border, colour and other design components. Pull Quotes, Feature Boxes, and Highlighted Headings and text are all best enhanced with HTML and CSS. A designer will take a single design element (such as a shape or a colour) and tweak the CSS to lift the presentation of your website. Quite often just an extra hour or two of design effort at with HMTL/CSS can really set your website apart from other plain-looking websites.
