Working with Us

Web Development is a growth industry, and Go Kiwi Internet has been at the forefront of that growth since 1999. As one of New Zealand's original Web Developers we have a lot of experience in the industry.

Our founder Dennis A. Smith has trained many staff, sub-contractors and new entrants over the years and continues to help, mentor and encourage new entrants into the industry - through WDANZ and Emerging Talent, and Go Kiwi Internet. Associating with Go Kiwi Internet in any way is a smart career move.

  • As an Employee
  • By Work Experience
  • Through an Internship
  • By Sub Contracting
  • As a Referral Agent

  • By purchasing a Go Kiwi Internet Agency

Your duties will consist of scrubbing the floor, vaccumming the office carpet, emptying the trash cans and serving the Production Manager with lots of bourbon & cokes hot chocolate. You will also have a sprinkling of design, HTML, CSS, and customer support thrown in for good measure. (Just kidding about the floor scrubbing bit!). If you wish to gain work experience with Go Kiwi Internet, please complete the Enquiry Formor our email our Production Manager at:

Internship

An Internship is an extended Work Experience where you will be given a chance to work in your specific area of interest - graphics, design, Macromedia Flash, PHP, sales or customer support. You will need to have completed formal web development training (e.g. NatColl, OpenPolytech, University) or have worked for 3 months or more in a web development role of company. In the first instance, please complete the Enquiry Form. CVs can be emailed to .

Sub Contracting

Subcontractors work in their own business and provide programming, design or other service to Go Kiwi Internet or our customers. You will need to be self-employed and have strong skills in one particular discipline. Sub-contractors may be for example ActionScript or MM Flash specialists; PHP programmers, Linux sysAdmins, SEO, SEM, Graphics Design, SMS/TXT skills, web journalism and so on. If you wish to subcontract your services to Go Kiwi Internet, please contact our Production Manager in person.

Referral Agent

Referral Agencies receive commissions on the sale of website services to their clients.

Joint Venture

Go Kiwi Internet always has "something on the go" - actually usually more than one at any time! It may be a pet project of the boss, or perhaps a customer, or even the neighbour of the shop attendant next door's second cousin who has a crazy fabulous idea that will absolutely make a killing on the Internet - if you believe them!

Joint Ventures (where you "go into business" with someone) are a fantastic way to get started in the industry and Go Kiwi Internet is able to facilitate, and sometimes manage the project. Sure, if you are doing a portal website for car wreckers, you may end up with a few old car parts instead of cash . . . and if you are in a JV with somebody who is into snowboards, you may end up with some new kit for winter, but if you are looking for opportunity, why not step up to the mark and offer your services for a JV? It might be the making of your career! For all JV enquiries please contact Dennis at . Thank you.

Go Kiwi Internet Agency

Go Kiwi Internet runs an Agency model (similar to that of the Insurance industry), where Agencies look after their own customers, but the back-end services such as technical, accounting and billing are provided by the parent company.

Unlike a traditional Franchise (where you are either simply a commission sales agent, or you are locked into a fixed paint-by-numbers system), with a Go Kiwi Internet Agency, you own your own business, and can service your clients in the exact area of specialisation that you have. You can assist other Go Kiwi Internet Agencies who need your own skill-sets, and receive others' assistance in return.

Working with an established web development company, that has strong technical systems (Kwik-Az Updating), that is a well-known brand, you will be mixing with a team of experts surrounding you and able to support you in any regard, and as you need it.

Go Kiwi Internet Agencies suit the more mature, experienced business people regardless of their experience in IT, or people that have a strong motivation and interest in doing their own thing, but who may just need a support structure to get started.

More information about Go Kiwi Internet Acencies is available from Go Kiwi Marketing.

Business is all about people. We love people and look forward to talking with you, whatever way you would like to work with us.
